T-Mobile Center is inviting the Kansas City community to join in giving back during a two-day recycling and donation event on Friday, Nov. 14, and Saturday, Nov. 15.
From 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday, November 14, T-Mobile Center will host a Recycle and Donation Drive in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City (BBBSKC) and Wayside Waifs. Community members are encouraged to drop off:
- E-waste (electronic or corded items)
- Glass recyclables (no pottery, china or porcelain)
- Soft goods (clothing, linens, and household textiles)
- Pet supplies (food, toys, leashes, and bedding)
Recycling and donations will be accepted on Grand Blvd. in front of T-Mobile Center.
All soft good donations will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City, while pet supply donations will support Wayside Waifs.
As a special treat, Wayside Waifs will bring adoptable puppies onsite from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., giving attendees a chance to meet furry friends while contributing to a good cause.
The community spirit continues on Saturday, Nov. 15, when the four schools participating in the 28.5 Hoops Invitational event will go head-to-head in a Soft Goods Donation Challenge benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City. The school whose fans collect the most donations will earn bragging rights and community pride.
