Giving Books a Second Life on the Road
In addition to e-waste recycling, T-Mobile Center will collect new and gently used books for its Tour Library, an amenity created for the artists and crew members who travel through the venue.
Life on tour often means long stretches on the road, time spent backstage and nights away from home. The Tour Library offers touring professionals an opportunity to discover a new read, exchange a favorite title and share their love of books with others who call the road home.
Community members are encouraged to donate books in good, readable condition that fellow book lovers can enjoy and pass along to others.
Eco Elvis
From 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., attendees can meet Eco Elvis, an environmental entertainer who combines the iconic style of Elvis Presley with humor, music and environmental education. Through parodies of familiar Elvis songs, Eco Elvis makes sustainability topics approachable and memorable, sharing ways people can save money, improve their health and take better care of their homes and the planet.
