Fans can register to win tickets to the sold-out game

Prior to the sold-out Sprint NBA Preseason Clash featuring the Miami HEAT and OKC Thunder, fans of all ages are invited to the H&R Block Party on Grand Blvd. between 13th and 14th Street. Festivities will begin at 4 pm. The event is free and open to the public. Tickets to the game are sold-out. Grand Boulevard will close that day at 10 am to thru-traffic.

The H&R Block party will be hosted by DJ Irie, official DJ to Jamie Foxx and the 2006 NBA World Champion Miami HEAT. Known for his passion, charm and enthusiasm, Irie has earned national acclaim with performances at MTV’s Total Request Live, the Nickelodeon Teen Choice Awards and the Halftime show at the Orange Bowl.

Basketball fans of all ages will enjoy the amenities from the NBA Pop-a-shot to the Miller Lite Beer Garden powered by Sports Radio 810 WHB. Fans may register to win four tickets to the sold out game by visiting the check-in table starting at 4 pm.

There is no fee and no purchase necessary to register. Only one (1) entry per person is allowed. Entrants must be 16 years of age or older and present valid photo ID. Opportunity to win is not transferable. The opportunity is available only at the H&R Block Party on Friday, Oct. 8 starting at 4 pm. Winner will be selected from a random drawing and announced from stage at the H&R Block Party by DJ Irie.

All entrants must be present to win, confirm their presence at the designated check-in table and claim prize within 2 minutes of announcement. Otherwise, prize will be forfeited and another random entry will be selected.
