Kansas City will welcome Big 12 Alumni including Mario Chalmers, Julian Wright and Michael Beasley, when the New Orleans Hornets and Miami Heat tipoff on Oct. 15.

A second round pick in the 2008 draft, Chalmers helped Kansas win the NCAA Championship with his buzzer-beating three-pointer that sent the title game into overtime. The road to the 2008 Final Four Championship for the University of Kansas Jayhawks began at T-Mobile Center in March at the venue’s first ever Big 12 Men’s Basketball Championship. Kansas City fans will have an opportunity to see NBA scoring leader and five-time all-star Dwyane Wade as well as former Wildcat, Michael Beasley, the second overall pick in the 2008 draft.

The Hornets also feature two two-time NBA All-Stars in guard Chris Paul and power forward David West as well as former Jayhawk, Julian Wright.

Ticket prices for the Hornets vs. Heat game start at only $10. Additional tickets are available at a variety of levels including a limited number of courtside seats for $200 each. Tickets go on sale Friday, Aug. 28 at 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.com and charge by phone at (800) 745-3000. Discounts are available for groups of 10 or more. Group tickets are on sale now and may be purchased by calling 816.949.7177 or e-mailing grouptickets@t-mobilecenter.com.

Home to the College Basketball Experience, T-Mobile Center hosted the sold-out 2008 Big 12 Men’s Basketball Championships and in 2010 Kansas City will see the return of the event on March 10-13 as well as the NCAA Women’s Basketball Regional. T-Mobile Center was recently recognized as the #4 Arena in the United States and #16 in the world according to Pollstar having exceeded all projections by welcoming more than 2 million people to more than 200 events since opening in Fall 2007.
