T-Mobile Center Marks Fifth Anniversary with Opening of GRAMMY Museum Experience

Kansas City, Mo. (Oct. 25, 2012)—In commemoration of T-Mobile Center’s fifth anniversary, Tim Leiweke, President & CEO of AEG and Bob Santelli of The GRAMMY Museum at L.A. Live announced a new interactive music education initiative, The GRAMMY Museum Experience @ T-Mobile Center, located at Kansas City’s award-winning downtown arena.

Paying tribute to music's rich cultural history, The GRAMMY Museum Experience @ T-Mobile Center is a one-of-a-kind, 21st-century interactive area that explores and celebrates the enduring legacies of all forms of music, the creative process, the art and technology of the recording process, and the history of the premier recognition of excellence in recorded music — the GRAMMY Award.

“The GRAMMY Museum Experience @ T-Mobile Center is an exciting interactive celebration of the power of music,” said Tim Leiweke, President and CEO of AEG. “Opening this facility will certainly further the mission of the GRAMMY Museum Foundation to educate and inspire music fans of all ages.”

A satellite location of The GRAMMY Museum in downtown Los Angeles, Calif., guests will explore the artistic and historical perspective of music from a never-before-seen insider view through thought-provoking and dynamic displays. Guests of all ages will be intrigued and inspired by the interactive and multimedia exhibits seen for the first time in the Midwest at The GRAMMY Museum Experience @ T-Mobile Center.

“The GRAMMY Museum Experience @ T-Mobile Center is a perfect example of establishing meaningful partnerships to nurture the passion of music fans of all ages,” said Bob Santelli, Executive Director of The GRAMMY Museum at L.A. Live. “From the history of the GRAMMY awards to artifacts from Rihanna, CeeLo Green, Justin Bieber to learning how to dance from James Brown and Michael Jackson, Kansas City fans will delight in the interactive experiences, exhibits and most cutting edge technology.”

The GRAMMY Museum Experience @ T-Mobile Center opens to the public on Nov. 1. For hours of operation and additional information, visit www.t-mobilecenter.com.
