T-Mobile Center’s First Quarter of 2019 Includes Most Successful March in Venue History

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (April 9, 2019) –  T-Mobile Center, Kansas City’s award winning downtown arena, recently ended a record breaking first quarter of 2019 including the most successful month of March since venue opening.

 

“Welcoming more than 250,000 visitors to T-Mobile Center during March 2019 is phenomenal for the venue, our partners, area businesses and the city of Kansas City, Mo.” said Brenda Tinnen, T-Mobile Center/AEG general manager & senior vice president. “From record-breaking concerts to signature sporting events and family shows, T-Mobile Center remains grateful for the support of guests, artists, management and promoters. Continuing to invest in a premier live entertainment experience in the Midwest remains a priority and we look forward for more exciting announcements in the coming weeks.”

 

During the month of March 2019, T-Mobile Center hosted a diverse lineup of sporting events, concerts and family shows starting with back-to-back sold out performances by country superstar Eric Church (March 1 & 2), an attendance record set by Metallica (March 6), and the Big 12 Men’s Basketball Championship (March 13-16). Additional highlights throughout March included appearances by Michael Buble (March 20), Justin Timberlake (March 21), Professional Bull Riders: PBR (March 23 & 24), Weezer & The Pixies (March 26) and the NCAA Men’s Basketball Regional (March 29 & 31).

 

Also on March 13, Benihana, the nation's leading operator of Japanese-inspired teppanyaki and sushi restaurants, opened a 550 square foot concession stand on the Main Concourse of T-Mobile Center near Section 101. T-Mobile Center guests will enjoy Benihana’s most popular dishes, including signature Hibachi steak, chicken and shrimp as well as customer favorites from RA Sushi including California rolls, avocado rolls, spicy tuna rolls, and specialty poke bowls.

 

T-Mobile Center’s 2019-2020 calendar includes a variety of upcoming events including New Kids on The Block (May 7), Tool (May 14), WWE RAW (May 28), Shawn Mendes (July 19), Khalid (July 21), John Mayer (Sept. 2), Thomas Rhett (Sept. 12), Carrie Underwood (Sept. 19), Chris Stapleton (Oct. 26) and much more.

 

In addition, this week T-Mobile Center announced shows including the return of world-renowned global icon, Celine Dion (Oct. 28), Luke Combs (Oct. 4), and Big Slick (June 8).
