T-Mobile Center Named ‘Best Places to Work’ Finalist

T-Mobile Center, Kansas City’s home for live entertainment and sporting events, has been named a finalist by The Kansas City Business Journal for the 2009 Best Places to Work awards program. Operated by AEG, one of the leading sports and entertainment presenters in the world, T-Mobile Center has re-established Kansas City as a must-play stop for the world’s most prominent artists and tours as well as enabled the return of signature sporting events including the Big 12 Men’s Basketball Championships and marquee NCAA events.

“Being named a finalist as one of Kansas City’s ‘Best Places to Work’ speaks directly to T-Mobile Center’s core values of exceeding guest service expectations of artists and guests,” said Brenda Tinnen, AEG Kansas City Senior Vice President and General Manager. “I’m honored and grateful to work with a staff that takes pride in ensuring that people throughout the region have memorable live entertainment experiences at T-Mobile Center.”

T-Mobile Center was recently recognized as #4 among Top Arenas in the United States by Pollstar Magazine. In 2009, T-Mobile Center welcomed its’ 2 millionth guest as well as hosted a number of sold-out shows and events. Celine Dion, Rascal Flatts, AC/DC, The Eagles, Kenny Chesney, Fleetwood Mac, Nickelback and Britney Spears were among T-Mobile Center’s sold out concerts during the first half of 2009 as well as welcoming nine of the top 10 North American Tours. In addition, T-Mobile Center also hosted sold-out, nationally televised events including first- and second- rounds of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championships, PBR: Professional Bull Riders and WWE Raw and SMACKdown!

The ‘Best Places to Work’ program, in its ninth year, recognizes small, medium and large companies that provide good workplaces based on their employees’ evaluations. Finalists will be recognized in a special section Sept. 25 and at an event Sept. 18, during which the winners will be revealed. The survey asked employees to rate their companies based upon the criteria below:
